Thursday with Alana Macdougall
Meet The Instructor
Alana focuses on ceramics in both her functional and sculptural creative practices and is passionate about exploring the limits of what the material can do. She has been an instructor and mentor in the arts across multiple diverse communities. Alana believes that the making and use of functional ceramics can enrich our daily rituals and make coming together for food and drink more special.
Alana holds a Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Fine Art from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn New York. She currently teaches at the University of Manitoba and her ceramic and drawing work has been exhibited internationally.
