TRAVELING IN COLOUR - a solo exhibit
The Edge was introduced to Rachel Boese Art by her friends and fans, and we agree, she is a treasure! We’re not the only ones who recognize her talents, Boese is moving to Vancouver in a few weeks where she has been accepted into Emily Carr University of Art + Design.
Boese’s upcoming exhibit, Traveling in Colour, exhibits a collection of pieces which secured her accepted into Emily Carr. Primarily a painter, Boese experiments with lino-cutting, silk-screen printing, photography and a wide variety of other mediums and methods. Her artistic expression takes a variety of forms, sometimes detailed and true-to-life, others abstract and textured but always vibrant and exploding with colour.
Boese's Art is feminine, chaotic and full of life. Every painting distinctive and presents a clear sense of Rachel’s desire to capture life’s beauty for others.
Traveling in Colour opens
Friday, August 6, 2010 @ 7pm.
Exhibit runs until Thursday, August 12,
12:30 - 4:30 (Closed Sundays).
Donations towards Boese’s tuition will be accepted as admission.
